Vitamin C Smoothie for a Strong Immune System

Although supplements are important, the doctor recommends including foods rich in vitamin C in our diet, such as tomato juice, orange juice, strawberries, pineapple, papaya, and lemon.

Smoothies are refreshing and make a great snack. Below is a simple and light recipe, rich in vitamin C, to support your immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 2 oranges

  • 2 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 hibiscus tea bag

  • 2 cups of filtered or boiled water

  • Contents of 1 vitamin C capsule

  • Ice (Optional)

  • Stevia (Optional)

Directions:

Start by preparing the hibiscus infusion: boil a cup of water and add the tea. Let it steep for a few minutes and put it in the fridge to cool. Separately, juice the two oranges and add to the blender with a few ice cubes, handful of strawberries, the cooled off tea, the vitamin C capsule, mint leaves, and the remaining cup of water. Add stevia to your liking and enjoy!
