It’s happened to all of us at one point. We’ll be sitting down or laying down and decide to get up, and then, suddenly, we feel light-headed, dizzy, or get a headache.
Medically, this is known as Orthostatic Hypotension, but that’s a mouthful so let’s break it down in layman’s terms…
When we get dizzy after quickly standing up it’s very likely due to a temporary dip in blood pressure, as gravity pushes our blood down to our legs and feet before the body has a chance to balance blood pressure levels.
And there’s one major culprit that could be leading to more dizzy spells and potentially even larger complications.
Here’s Dr Juan, our founder and a renowned cardiologist, talking about how to avoid the dizzy spells, and what serious dizzy spells might mean for your health:
Thanks Dr. Juan! Let’s make sure to stay hydrated so we can be steady on our feet.
And let’s get healthier, together.
